The Fund is actively managed. The investment objective of the Fund is to seek long term capital appreciation. The Japan Small Cap Value Equity strategy invests in Japanese small cap equities and aims to achieve an excess return of 3% over the benchmark of Russell/Nomura Small Cap Total Return Index over the mid-to-long-term. The portfolio manager builds a portfolio by investing in undervalued stocks with careful consideration of risk/return. A bottom-up approach is used. The Investment Manager analyzes intrinsic value of individual stocks and compares it with market price in order to identify undervalued stocks. The portfolio is not constrained by sector weights. Although Small-cap is not a dedicated ESG strategy, the Investment Manager's knowhow for responsible investing is applied throughout the investment process in measuring a stock's alpha. The Sub-Fund will not invest in financial derivative instruments unless a risk management process has been submitted to the Central Bank in accordance with the Central Bank UCITS Regulations. The Fund is managed by reference to the Russell/Nomura Small Cap Total Return Index (the "Benchmark") to the extent that the Fund's performance will be measured relative to the Benchmark.
